Pre-launch notice — not legal advice. Devonport Studios is an independent studio led by Nico Devonport, based in South Africa and working remotely worldwide. Formal privacy policy and cookie notice text are pending Owner decisions on jurisdiction (B3) and approved legal copy (B4). Do not treat this page as a published policy until Owner sign-off.

What this site uses today

  • Theme preference — stored in browser localStorage under the key devonport-theme (dark or light). Used only to remember your theme choice. No cookies or analytics are set by this feature.
  • Contact form — not connected to live delivery. Submissions are not transmitted until the Owner configures workflow and keys (B5).
  • Analytics — none in Stage 1. Owner is evaluating privacy-conscious options for a future phase (B8).

What is not configured yet

  • Production domain and absolute policy URL (B1)
  • Data controller identity and jurisdiction for formal legal text (B2–B4)
  • Cookie or consent banners — not required while analytics remain off

When the policy is published

The final policy will describe data controller identity, lawful basis, retention, processors, and how to exercise data rights — aligned to the confirmed jurisdiction and deployed technologies. Until then, this page states only what the current build does.
